Basic Components of Computer - Quick Learn Computer

Components of Computer
Components of Computer

What are the components of a computer?

A computer is an electronic system. Computers are composed of many types of components.

Those who meet and complete specific tasks. There are five basic components of a computer.

  1. Input unit
  2. Memory or storage unit
  3. Arithmetic and logic unit
  4. Output unit
  5. Control unit

Input unit

When the user inputs data into the computer by means of an input device. So this process is called the input unit.

Explain with examples, because I have a hard copy. I want to edit a hard copy.

Therefore, we will first enter the hard copy into the computer with the help of an input device (scanner).

So this process is called the input unit. There are different types of input devices:

keyboard

Mouse

Joystick

Trackball

Light pen

Touch screen

Digital camera

Scanner

Barcode reader

OMROCRMICRATM

Memory or storage unit

There are two types of memory in the computer.

Permanent storage and temporary storage.

Persistent storage is the storage that stores and stores all computer data. Whenever we need this data, we can get it.

Instant storage is storage that is stored for a period of time. Whenever we work on a computer or log in.

And the result after entering. Therefore the result remains in our temporary storage.

After the computer is turned off, our temporary storage will be deleted.

There are two types of storage devices, primary storage devices, secondary storage devices, primary storage devices, two types of primary storage devices, random access memory (RAM), read-only memory (ROM), secondary storage devices, some different types of secondary storage devices, hard disks (HDD)

Arithmetic & logic unit

An arithmetic logic unit such as a pen-type optical disc drive The arithmetic logic unit is the main part of the CPU.

We do any work on the computer. So all these tasks are done with the help of arithmetic and logic units. The arithmetic unit works. The math unit can perform all normal addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division operations at a very high speed.

The job of the logical drive is to make decisions. This is how the logic unit works every time we issue instructions to the computer. The instruction has been given by the user.

These data are arithmetic or logical data. For example, arithmetic data All the mathematical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are called arithmetic data.

Logical data. The user can input instructions on the computer. Ex- Print some documents, download music, book train tickets, play videos, etc. All data is called logical data.

The output unit

when we input data to the computer. After entering, proceed with processing. After processing, the result that appears on our computer screen is called electronic copy output.

When we print it, the hard copy is printed. This process is called the output unit. There are different types of output devices:

Monitor

Printer

Plotter

Projector

Sound

Speaker

Control unit

In our computer system, the control unit (CU) is a part. Without the control unit, our computer system cannot work properly.

The control unit is located in the CPU (Central Processing Unit).

The work of the control unit is handed over to the teaching computer.

Does it work properly? For example, the work of the control unit is to verify or control commands.

Does the instruction work properly, for example, if you want to copy a document file to your computer? As long as you choose the document you want to copy. And right-click and copy.

So the job of the control unit is to check the instructions. It should not be cut by copying it somewhere.

The control unit controls all of these. We hope that you have fully understood the storage device, if you have not yet, please leave us a comment. If you like this article, you can subscribe to our blog.
